This is my friend Holly,

She is one of the most amazing people i know. She is always happy and loves to cheer people up. She knows how to make the whole room light up and laugh with her huge big smile no matter what the situation. She never likes to see someone upset or struggling and will help anyone in need.
On the outside Holly is just a normal teenage girl but she has been through so much the past year its such an inspriration to see her stronger than she has ever been.Through it all she never let anything bring her down.

Holly Magookin was born with pulmonary atresia with collaterals and a ventricular septal defect.She had two operations when she was nine months old, and another three before her third birthday. Two of these were on the same day. On one occasion she stopped breathing in the night. Then tragically during the last operation - a full repair - Holly, still just a toddler, had a stroke.Holly lost feeling in her left arm and needed extensive rehabilitation. Holly had to learn how to walk and talk and even had to learn how to write again. Since then the young battler has also had numerous cardiac cathertisations. You’d never know by looking at her that Holly has gone through so much.

Unfortunately it is not the end of surgery for Holly. She will have to travel to Melbourne for another catheterisation due to calcification of the valve. In a few years when she is older she will then undergo surgery to place an adult shunt and valve.

3 Years ago Holly lost her Grandpa and last year her dad died.
Holly’s dad was a big part of her life and cared for her more than anything. To see holly in this pain broke my heart. Knowing there was nothing i could do was really difficult but nowhere near as difficult as what she was going through. 
Holly never asks for anything because she knows there are so many other people worse off than her, Who need things more than she does but the one thing Holly wants more than anything is for one direction to come to Australia so she can finially live out her dream of meeting them.

With all of hollys operations and the events of the past few years Holly has been really struggling. We were not fortunate enough to get tickets for the Australian tour, Holly was soo devastated. It was her once chance at finally meeting them. She would love it if one direction saw this and could help her dream come true. This would make hollys year and she would feel complete again.They are her inspriation.
